Dear students,
I know that
you are going through a difficult period as all the rest in the country.
I expect you to act sensibly and bravely in a crisis like that. That
is what you need to to cultivate as future leaders in the country.
1.The
restrictions imposed upon the students from Gampaha District is lifted
and they will participate in group learning activity with the rest of
the students. Please note that this informed decision is taken after
considering all the factors and with the approval of health authorities.
2.
It was decided all the lectures will be conducted in zoom according to
the available time tables and will be uploaded to LMS. Practical and
tutorial will be conducted either in zoom or as actual classes based on
the requirements of the relevant department.
3. Student
movements will be restricted except in movements related to academic
activities for the basic needs, (They are not allowed to leave the
hostel to go home over the weekend but they can go to Mahamodara for
appointments.) The Faculty will not approve any kind of long distance
traveling including going home for weekends..
4. The Committee
appointed to look into the matters related to students COVID situation
will meet daily at 12 noon and will take decisions every day. This
Committee comprise of Dean, Dr Nayana Liyanaarchchi, Ar Arosha
Disaanayaka, Dr Lanka Dassanayake, Dr Gayani Alwis, Dr Champa Wijesinghe
and Dr Iroshini Kodikara,
5. With all this the key is hand washing, wearing face masks and maintaining social distance to maximum possible level.
Face the situation with a smile considering that this your responsibility for the country and its people.
